Marvelous. The child in the picture is just 3 years old. She has learnt how to work with the pink tower and brown stair individually for few days. I can’t believe that she can arrange these two material in order by herself without any help.
Although every material in Montessori Environment has its own purpose and has it proper way to work with. However, it doesn’t mean that it won’t allow any variations. Montessori allows children to explore the material with many different ways which follow the children’ will provide that they work with respect for each material.
經常與同業老師溝通談及Montessori教具時，他們一直有誤解認為每件教具只容許一種操作方法。
其實操作教具沒有一定規則，當然每件教具有proper way的操作方法以達至令操作者從中掌握一些概念，但若操作者已經掌握到，而他又有另外一些方法explore教具時，作為老師不會阻止他，只會從旁觀察及欣賞他^^
(當然如果他拿著教具走去打其他小朋友除外，應該不會發生)
