I worked in local school 9 years ago. I had a very bad experience that having children who were just 4 years old to write a lot of chinese characters in every single day. For them writing was a job they had to be finished. We couldn’t enjoy writing very much.
Today I put some shaving cream on a tray then let the children write some chinese characters which they known. We had a great time working with it^^
I think you can bring this activity to home and enjoy writing with your children. It is good for tactile training too.
